I'm a pilgrim with a Nikon. My work is of the documentary 'genre' and I capture moments in time that I find interesting. I'd invite you to view additional images @ www.garyrhodesphotography.com

Hey, is there anybody out there? I'm feelin' all alone here. Can't someone RSVP? Lame dorks! Okay, got that outta the way, here we go. I just watched 2/3 of a Christiana Lampour documentary on CNN having to do with genocides i.e. Holocaust, Khmer Rouge in Cambodia, the gassing of the Kurds in Iraq. I had to leave the show early, and my guess is the next chapter would have been Rawanda. I'm dumbfounded and ashamed that the US not once has taken a proactive role in responding to any of these tragedy's, immediately. We, and the rest of the world sit on the sidelines as millions of innocent people are slaughtered. God will call us to account on this, I'm certain of it...peace on

Well, its onward and upward Christian Soldiers. The election is over, and I for one am just now revitalized and have somewhat adjusted to the outcome of said election. It feels kinda good. Like a fresh wind a blowin'. Hillary has been named Sec. State. Bill Richardson, whose political career was pretty much put into orbit by the Clinton's, who he'd served under during the Clinton White House, has been named Sec. Commerce. And, Robert Gates will remain as Defense Dept. head (it'll be interesting to see how State and Defense Depts get along, since we've got an aggressive Hillary working with a man who comes across as being very subdued and low key, who also happens to be a Republican). Lets just hope Hillary saves her fire breathing for Im-a-dinner-jacket of Iranian fame. I think the charming and articulate President elect is a bit of a visionary, and that together with his intellectualism might help the country turn the corner. peace
