Richie Havens

Folk singer, Richie Havens passed away yesterday, and the sky is cryin'... Richie was opening act @ Woodstock Art and Music Festival in 1969, and he played for over three hours, as promoters were unable to bring the next group in, because of the roads being jammed with attendees. I visited with Richie in Lyons, Colorado at the Planet Bluegrass Folk Fest in 2007, or was it 2008...? Boulder Portraits

I attended the last day of the 2013 Conference on World Affairs in Boulder yesterday. The attached images are portraits taken w/Lumix point & shoot. Pictures include a young photographer, Shane Bauer, who along with two friends, spent 26 months in an Iranian prison, accused of being a spy. Trey Lyons, a Foreign Service Officer, Cathy Comstock, panel moderator, my BMW mechanic, Roger, and my son-in-law Ben, who oversees operations at the Boulder,  Chase Bank.
