gudintagin...anyone know what that means? I think its a German greeting for 'good day'...?! As I'm lifted out of the pits of despair following the death of John Breaux, I find myself receding into a state of anxiety and intrepidation concerning the economy. The question I've been putting forth to learned individuals is, "...where is this going-worse case scenario?" The oft repeated response is 'cash is king'. If you have $ you'll be able to get food, fuel, etc... If your $ is tied up in investments/property, or if you're used to making purchases w/plastic you may expect to experience dificulty procuring necessities...?! Don't know, but that seems to be the repeated mantra. Adio's, G

John Breaux, 57 year old Louisville/Lafayette (Colorado) 'Good Samaritan' will be buried today, following a memorial service at Flatiron Community Church in Lafayette. I had the privilige of knowing John for the last eight or so years. John worked tirelessly demonstrating the gifts God had bestowed upon him-love, kindness, and a selfless  giving spirit. Someone suggested that John was our example, and that we are to pick up His mantle and continue to live our lives more in line with the Christ-like qualities that John exhibited. That in fact, we who knew him have been gifted with a portion of him that remains with us. As big as John was in life, he is infinite in death.

ok...I'll be 58 years old tomorrow! Does anyone know how many times I found myself on the threshold of death? It's only by the Grace of God that I've made it thus far, and I do thank Him for His mercy. My beloved Rachel and I are to be married early June in Dillon. Check enclosed photo. Everyone is invited... Gary

Greetings to all... It's a new day folks. A fresh wind is blowin'; can you feel it? We have a new president,. Does that mean that we will be problem free? Of course not, but we will have leaders with a fresh vitality, and enthusiasm. Pres. Obama, to me, is more a preacher than a politician. His optimisim reminds me of Joel Osteen. Nothing wrong with that at all. A recent inpression of mine says that we have drifted from our Christian values, and as a culture, we have replaced God with gold...? Could God be using these  difficult economic times, not only to get our attention, but to maybe push us to revamp our value system? My Bible says that you can't serve both God and manna (money). Settle in, hold on, things are going to get interesting. Peace on - Gary
