Gwinn/Silverman Wedding

My lovely, and gifted, daughter, Mackenzie & I had the privilege of photographing a Jewish Wedding, Labor Day weekend, west of Boulder, Colorado. The couple are soon to graduate C.U. w/Ph.D's in Social Psychology. The Bride, Arielle is blind, and being considered for a teaching position at Stanford, following her graduation ! 2013 Planet Bluegrass 'Folk-Fest' this past weekend. Amazing little grotto, w/natural ampitheatre, where hippies of all ages gather,  "... for three days of nothing, but fun and music"- Max Yasgur, Woodstock. Its a photographers wonderland ! I may graduate

next year to Telluride.
  Boulder policeman, Nick & I became chums after I asked him if he had any weed. "Sure, right here", he said. Hope that you are able to take a few minutes and enjoy pix on your home screen, and maybe be transported a bit...

Here are some pix from this years Cheyenne Frontier Days Rodeo. I had one day there this week, tried to get back for more, but, was unable. It's a high energy, excitement filled event, especially having access to 'behind the chutes'. Pix of bronc rider in yellow chaps...Bobby Mote, 4x World Champion. Richie Havens

Folk singer, Richie Havens passed away yesterday, and the sky is cryin'... Richie was opening act @ Woodstock Art and Music Festival in 1969, and he played for over three hours, as promoters were unable to bring the next group in, because of the roads being jammed with attendees. I visited with Richie in Lyons, Colorado at the Planet Bluegrass Folk Fest in 2007, or was it 2008...? Boulder Portraits

I attended the last day of the 2013 Conference on World Affairs in Boulder yesterday. The attached images are portraits taken w/Lumix point & shoot. Pictures include a young photographer, Shane Bauer, who along with two friends, spent 26 months in an Iranian prison, accused of being a spy. Trey Lyons, a Foreign Service Officer, Cathy Comstock, panel moderator, my BMW mechanic, Roger, and my son-in-law Ben, who oversees operations at the Boulder,  Chase Bank. Also, Ike Wilson,  soldier, scholar, who teaches at West Point. Pix look best on big screen Mac, if you've got one. Best, Gary
