Flatiron's Community Church

Flatiron's Community Church, in Lafayette, christened our new church this past weekend, with over 11k people attending five services. Last year, we bought a vacated Walmart, and a vacated Albertsons, and we put a 30 millon dollar make over on them, and we call it Walbertson's. It's church like you've never experienced, and its Jesus Centered. Come on by, attend a service, and you'll never be the same again...

Conference On World Affairs-2011

63rd Conference On World Affairs ran April 4-8 on Boulders C.U. Campus. I was able to attend three days, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Got to meet Gigi Ibrahim, who, as a twenty-four year old, Egyptian activist, was on the front lines, in Cairo, earlier this year. Two of my Woodstock heros, David Crosby, and Graham Nash were there also. CWA gathers thinkers/artists from around the globe, and provides a forum for them and students and other participants to interact, and learn.

My oldest daughter, Mackenzie Marie Rhodes celebrated her thirtieth birthday, with family on March 11, @ Boulder's Brasserie Restaurant. Mackenzie also let everyone know that her baby, due in July is a boy! This will be my first 'grand-son'. Two photos of Mackenzie and Ben's daughter, Mimi, and a shot of Mimi

David Clifton

Here are a few additional shots of David Clifton's Xmas Party. BTW - sometime's the line waiting to get a hot lunch, was a block long, and David had a similar event @ Thanksgiving, with a turn-out in excess of 2500! A picture is worth a thousand words. FYI-clik thumbnail for full screen

Greetings, and good morning. These photos were taken on Bannock St., a week before Christmas. David Clifton, 'Jesus to The World Ministries' put this party together for those in need...food, Christmas gifts, etc. For approximately 25 years, David fed and clothed folks out of his house, which formerly sat on what is now Denver Art Museum property. David, has literally, "taken it to the streets..."

kitchen remodel

My wife Rachel, and I are doing a kitchen remodel with the help of Rachel's brother Tim - who BTW is a master cabinetmaker. I took a few pics, using my SB-800, bouncing off walls, and ceiling, and I even had some success creating nice, even light.

2011 StockShow Parade, Denver

Here are some shots from this years stock parade in downtown Denver, taken in January. The parade was stopped momentarily on account of the 'longhorns' were misbehaving, and as a result, I was able to dialog with outgoing Governor Ritter for a few minutes. Best, Gary

In January I ventured dwntwn. to shoot the 'Stock Parade', an annual event that precludes the, 'Stock Show'. Here are a few of those shots. BTW, the parade was halted temporarily, as some of the longhorns were misbehaving, and so I had a chance to visit with out going Governor Ritter. I promised him a print, and he told to hurry, as he was only going to be in the office 'til Monday, at which time the new governor was going to be taking over. All the best, Gary
