I'm a pilgrim with a Nikon. My work is of the documentary 'genre' and I capture moments in time that I find interesting. I'd invite you to view additional images @ www.garyrhodesphotography.com

Planet BlurGrass's 2012 Folk-Fest was an other annual celebration of light, color, and humanity. I'm attaching a dozen or so fotos for your viewing enjoyment and pleasure. Please feel free to pass a link to this site on to others, as my reward comes from as many folks as possible, viewing the pix. Thank you, Gary

I'm putting up acouple of shots of our friends Cara, her daughter, Maggie, and Travis. Cara and Travis will be married this Saturday, August 18, in Arvada. Travis, my hero, is a double amputee, loosing both legs below the knee, after the Humvee that he was riding in drove over an IED in Iraq- 2006. Travis has been motoring on a brand new pair of prosthetics, just 2 weeks. Just knowing this guy has brought Rachel and I to higher ground...
I'm putting up a couple of shots made last week of our friends Cara, and Travis; with Cara's daughter Maggie. Travis and Cara will be getting married Saturday (Aug 18th) outdoors in Arvada. Travis lost both legs in Iraq (ied...) in 2006, and he has been motor boating for two weeks on a new pair of prosthetics. He has been an inspiration for Rachel and I, and we wish them all the best...

I had two days in Cheyenne, Wyoming photographing the 'Granddaddy of 'em a'', Cheyenne Frontier Days Rodeo. Saw some friends, this being my seventh consecutive rodeo adventure, and since there's a dress code; cowboy boots, hat, shirt, wranglers, I actually integrate reasonably well. I hope that you will enjoy looking at the photos, as much as I enjoyed making them... and please, feel free to share with others.

I recently had the good fortune to accompany a blind gentlemen to the annual Federation of the Blind Conference in Dallas, Tx. I spent six and a half days with Tom and twenty-five hundred blind folks, attending General Session Meetings, riding elevators, grabbing meals at local Denny's. I came away from the experience with an appreciation for the strength, fortitude and 'dogged' perseverance of those living in the dark.
